We Love the Poor

Jesus was committed to the lost, the least, the last and the lonely. He loved and lived for the poor, the marginalized and all those on the outside-looking-in.  It is our joy to follow Jesus in this high calling!  Like our Leader,  we too love the poor.  We love the poor in tangible and intentional ways as a spiritual family.  And, we also offer the opportunity for others to love the poor through our spiritual family.

We offer three distinct funds for people to give directly to the poor.  First, our Galatians 2:10 YES fund [benevolence].  Scripture encourages us to always REMEMBER THE POOR and be eager to show generosity to those in need.  This fund is our frontline response to critical needs we encounter in the ones right in front of us – those Jesus gives us an opportunity to love.  Our heart is to say YES to help while also working to empower those in need.

Secondly, we offer the opportunity to support Freedom House as a safe place for recovering addicts, alcoholics, newly released prisoners and the marginalized in our city who need a place to live.

Thirdly, we join with our missional partner in the Dominican Republic to offer help to the poorest of the poor.  Every penny given to these three funds go directly to the poor [not to cover Cornerstone administrative costs].

Join us in the joy loving the poor – just like Jesus!
